So another Missouri brewer opted to put their highly touted chocolate ale on hiatus? Don’t fret. Another up and coming Missouri brewery looks to woo those with a love of the cocoa bean. The above is Perennial Artisanal Ale’s house brew for Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, based in Saint Louis. The bar features 90 beers, chocolate martinis and over 90 beers, including the above. Even better, this chocolate ale is already available. Don’t expect a heavy stout or porter. This is an amber wheat ale, with a delicate chocolate balance.
This is Bailey’s Chocolate Bar’s luxurious house brew. An approachable yet complex Amber Wheat Ale with deep natural chocolate flavors. Our handcrafted beer is sure to please both beer aficionados and chocolate lovers, alike.

Proof of more creativity coming out of Saint Louis, Missouri. Perennial Artisanal Ales looks to take you on a Fantastic Voyage. A milk stout brewed with coconut.
Fantastic Voyage is a harmonic melange of coconut and Imperial Milk Stout brought to us by brewer, Jim Leabig. Loads of coconut, CO lactase and black malt balance each other to provide flavors reminiscent of chocolate covered coconut with a finish smooth like silk sheets. Best enjoyed while listening to slow jams – by candlelight.

The above is the 3rd edition of The Wine & Cheese Place 30th Anniversary celebration. This year, the well know retailer is releasing a series of barrel aged releases in collaboration with local St. Louis breweries. This edition a barrel aged version of Perennial Ales Heart Of Gold Wheat Wine Ale.

Perennial Artisan Ales 17 will arrive in the tap room in St. Louis, Missouri on 3/17. 17 is a mint chocolate stout, aged in whiskey barrels.

Recent Perennial news: They just released a collaboration with Half Acre Brewing – Plan B, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale w/ Currants
Perennial & Half Acre Collaborate On Plan B
One of St. Louis, Missouri’s newest breweries Perennial is collaborating with Half Acre Brewing (Chicago, IL.) The beer is dubbed Plan B, is the first collaboration by Perennial. Brew day is this Friday according to the brewery. “B” will be a sour mash Belgian Dark Ale, brewed with black currants. Currants are perennial berries, with a sweet taste.
Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale (w/ Black Currants)
