The beer is an American IPA that has been fermented with the funky yeast, brettanomyces. Availability will be in 750 ml bottles.

Another Mikkeller Can Offering
Mikkeller (Denmark, and the world) will start canning under their own label stateside in the near future. The canning will occur at Sly Fox Brewing in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.
To date, there was been one other can by Mikkeller released- a collaboration with Half Acre Beer Company. With the addition of the above offering, that brings the future can offerings to two. The first a pilsner, this an IPA.

Mikkeller To Start Canning at Sly Fox
Mikkeller, probably the world’s most prolific gypsy brewer, has only released one other canned offering in the United States. It was a collaboration with Half Acre Beer Company in Chicago, dubbed Guest Lager. (Released in July.)
It looks like you will see more Mikkeller canned offerings soon stateside released under their own label. Sly Fox Brewing (Pottstown, PA) will assist with the canning process.
There were some grumblings back at the beginning of the summer that Mikkeller wanted to can stateside, but no decisions about where in when were mentioned. Sly Fox made a splash earlier in the year when the released the first “360 Can Lid” that allows the drinker to remove the entire top of the can prior to consumption.
Mikkeller Brews a Porter with Orange
Mikkeller’s creativity expands soon with the future addition of …Zest Please! A porter brewed with orange zest.
Look for this stateside in 11.2oz bottles.

Mikkeller’s Latest Beer Geek Hits Shelves
The latest in a series of “Geek” brews from Mikkeller has arrived. Mikkeller Beer Geek Vanilla Shakeis an oatmeal stout brewd with coffee, and vanilla. This edition is described as boozy (13% ABV) and slightly sweet, a bit like a shot of Kahlua.
Vanilla Shake is imported through Shelton Brothers, and available in 11.2 oz bottles.

Mikkeller Blends Two For Holiday Offering
When you blend a lambic with a saison, you have Mikkeller’s upcoming holiday release – Win Bic. A little backstory, Mikkeller has just released a new round of spontaneously fermented brews (lambics) dosed with different fruits. You take that bottle of funky, and blend it with a saison, you have yet another unforgettable release from the world’s most prolific gypsy brewer.
Look for this late fall, 2013.

Mikkeller’s First U.S. Can is With Half Acre
Half Acre Beer Company (Chicago, IL) will release a new collaboration with Mikkeller on July 3rd.
What’s inside:
The collaboration brew uses a lager yeast strain, but that’s about as far as the lager part goes. It clocks in at 8% and plays jump rope with the style line of hoppy lagers, IPAs, and more. Hops include Nelson Sauvin & Falconer’s Flight.
What’s outside:
The label art is a mash up between HA’s Phineas and Mikkeller’s go-to artist Keith Shore.
