Mikkeller’s Next Round of Spontaneous Beers Are Ready
Mikkeller (Denmark, U.S. & wherever he feels like it) has readied the first round of Spontaneous beers for 2013. The series features a base lambic beer (aged in oak) with a special fruit addition for variety and flavor depth. Above you see SpontanCassis, SpontanRosehip, SpontanPeach, and Spontangooseberry.
Look for these on shelves stateside this summer.
Mikkeller Brews Again with Expensive Coffee
Mikkeller loves to brew with the world’s most expensive coffee- the Koppi Luwak. The beans pass through the intestinal tract of the civet, and is harvested from the feces. As disgusting as it sounds, this process makes some amazing coffee.
Mikkeller has selected the coffee for Cù’t Ca Phê Bia, an imperial stout. The name in Vietnamese means cut coffee brewing. (Yeah, I used Google Translator).
Style: Imperial Stout (w/ Coffee)
Availability: 11.2 oz bottles

Brewdog, Mikkeller and Nogne-O Combine Forces

This collaborative beer was created when the paths of Mikkeller, Nogne-0, and BrewDog merged. It is an equal combination of ideas and inspiration extracted from each brewery’s respective huge stouts…

Mikkeller & 3 Floyds Team Up Again
Mikkeller and Three Floyds team up for another crazy collaboration – Bla Spog Else. The name means “blue ghost” and was brewed at De Proef brewery in Lochristi, Belgium. Bla Spog Else is a blueberry beer aged in oak barrels. Previous versions of the artwork used the term “lambic,” but you’ll see here it isn’t used. Pacman throwback label? I bet the beer just tastes better because of artwork.
Mikkeller and Three Floyds have teamed up before on brews like Boogoop, Barrel Aged Boogoop, and Baller Stout, and Risgoop.

Cigar City & Mikkeller Make A Chocolate Covered Cherry
Cigar City Brewing (Tampa, FL) and Mikkeller (Copenhagen, Denmark) have teamed up on a Forest Gump themed brew- Life is Like…. This chocolate covered cherry themed beer is brewed to be just like the candy. Just like the man said… you never know what you’re gonna get.
An imperial sweet stout brewed with cherries and cacao nibs, which is then aged in bourbon barrels. This beer is brewed in collaboration with Mikkeller our generous friend from Copenhagen, Denmark. What you have here is a modest attempt to emulate the experience of biting into a chocolate covered candy. We hope you enjoy it but you never know what you’re gonna get.
