Upland Latitude Adjustment, a winter escape beer

Upland Latitude Adjustment

Upland Latitude Adjustment provides a little escape from your typical winter seasonal release. Previously known as Beard of Paradise from the Upland Brewing’s Side Trail series, Latitude Adjustment is back as a seasonal release due to its popularity. This “winter escape” beer brings a tropical pale ale with pineapple and coconut into the season of malty winter favorites.

“Latitude Adjustment is intended to be a “winter escape” beer, a kind of brew that you might typically see as a summer seasonal, intended to give the drinker a psychological relief from the chill of winter by providing the impression of warmer climes. Those looking for a change from the malty winter brews will enjoy this complex and refreshing pale ale.” – Innovation Lead Matt Wisley.

Upland Brewing, based in Bloomington, Indiana, creates Latitude Adjustment by brewing with Mosaic hops and coconut. They then add pineapples near the end of fermentation.

Latitude Adjustment hits shelves in six-packs and on draught this month.

Oskar Blues Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut debuts in December

Oskar Blues Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut

Oskar Blues Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut is coming this December to the brewery’s’ taprooms. Brace yourselves.

The brewery recently upped their barrel-aging game with a national release of Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy. That beer is causing fan breakouts all over the nation right now.

Oskar Blues taprooms are seeing more barrel-aging variants available to those that can make trip, including recently released Java Fidy, (bourbon aged Ten Fidy with Hotbox Coffee). This December, Oskar Blues Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut will find its way into cans.

The base beer, an Irish Porter brewed with coconut and Cholaca, a cacao derivative, is already a bit tropical. All it needed was rum.

“To sum it up we wanted a beer that sends your palate on vacation.” – Oskar Blues Cellar Manager Dennis McShea

Oskar Blues Rum Barrel-Aged Death By Coconut won’t be an easy get. The 19.2 ounce cans will be available at the brewery’s taprooms in Longmont, Colorado and Brevard, North Carolina on December 17th, 2016.

Style: Porter (w/ CoconutDark Chocolate. Barrel Aged. Rum.)
Availability: 19.2oz Cans. Taproom only

Burial Bolo Coconut Brown cans

Burial Bolo Coconut Brown

Burial Bolo Coconut Brown cans will be back on sale in the tap room on February 17th, 2016. The Asheville, North Carolina’s brown ale is easily one of the brewery’s most popular releases.

Instead of the popular porter or stout choice as a style when brewing with coconut, Burial Bolo Coconut Brown‘s base is (as redundant as this writing is sounding), a brown ale.

The cleaver’s blade is strong enough and sharp enough to crack the toughest of coconuts. Easy drinking without lacking flavor, the addition of coconut is the perfect compliment to the subtle sweetness and nutty undertones present from the specialty malts.

Burial Bolo Coconut Brown is a 16 ounce can offering. Distribution typically follows shortly after.

Style: Brown Ale (w/ Coconut)
Availability: 16oz Cans
Latest Return: Fall, 2016
