HA! Holland Oats! Get It?

Stillwater Holland OatsBecause it’s brewed it Holland!  A new collaboration featuring Stillwater Artisanal and Emelisse. A dutch amber ale, brewed at Bierbrouweij Emelisse (going out on a limb and saying with oats?)

Stillwater is based in Baltimore, Maryland- a gypsy brewer much like the famed Mikkeller.  Emelisse’s popular offerings include Russian Imperial Stout, and Espresso Stout, available in 12oz bottles & draft.

You KNOW this song is in your head, so why not right?

Stillwater’s Folklore, A Mythic Tradition Ale

Stillwater Artisanal Ales celebrates myths and traditions with Folklore Ale.   Folklore is foreign stout with a hint of smoke.  Stillwater tweaked an earlier release – 25 To One.  That beer celebrated Stillwater’s 1st anniversary, and Max’s Taphouse’s 25th.  Max’s was one of the first places Stillwater was served.

Label:
Human history is filled with myths and legends that shape and define our culture.  Rituals, celebrations, gatherings… whatever.  One thing that’s for sure, is we enjoy a proper shindig.  So let’s get the store flowing and share a little ‘Folklore’.A bracingly deep ale, built dark and rich with an elegantly lean body, accompanied by heady aromas of Belgian yeast, earthy hops and gently kissed by a wisp of smoke.

Style: Foreign Stout
Availability: 750ml bottles

Stillwater Bourbon Barrel Aged Existent Ships

Stillwater Artisanal Ale’s Barrel Aged Existent is now available for your drinking pleasure.

Existent is a dark saison featuring the visage of Frederick Nietzsche.  This saison has a dark malt, fruit, spice & cocoa flavor.

Existent represents the philosophy behind Stillwater Artisanal. We strive to define ourselves through our passion and sincerity while accepting that not all aspects of life are readily explainable. To manifest this ideology we present an ale of intrigue. Deep & dark though deceptively dry, braced by a firm yet smooth bitterness and accented with an earthy hop and mild roast aroma. This is an ale for you to define..

That beer, in bourbon barrels, is what you see before you.

Style: Dark saison (bourbon barrel aged)
Taste Expectations:  Milk chocolate, oaky vanilla, bourbon. Light saison spice, dark fruits & funk.
Availability: 11.2 oz bottles.

Stillwater’s Saison That Tastes Like Pho

A beer to taste like Pho. Named after Mekong’s Restaurant in Richmond, Virginia. Brian was eating a big bowl of Pho at Mekongs when the challenge was thrown down to make a beer that that takes like this Vietnamese dish. Of course he answered with Mekong Phoson. A pho-saison crossover.

Style: Saison
