Perennial & Cigar City Team Up On Philly Taco
Perennial Artisan Ales (Saint Louis, MO) will debut a new collaboration with Cigar City Brewing dubbed Philly Taco in May. The offering will be a Belgian-style brown ale with Brettanomyces (wild yeast).
You “foodies” need to know what the “Philly Taco” actually is. In Philadelphia food terms, the Philly Taco is a Jim’s South Street Philly, wrapped in a steak inside a slice of Lorenzo & Sons’ pizza (according to legend of where this gut bomb got started). Or at least some fat ass inducing combination of such.
Perennial/Cigar City Philly Taco will be 7% ABV.
Cigar City Endless Nameless, Hopefully After Nirvana Hidden Track
Going completely out on a limb here. Cigar City Endless Nameless, a future imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, pays homage to Nirvana.
Let’s dig in. For those of you that don’t know, Endless Nameless is actually the hidden track on Nirvana’s Nevermind album, released in 1991. The last track “Something in the Way” ran a full 10 minutes, 29 seconds, with Endless Nameless appearing at 3:46.
As for the beer, Cigar City Endless Nameless as mentioned earlier, is an imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels.
It could be something else entirely. Just like Ommegang’s new IPA.
Style: Imperial Stout (Barrel Aged. Bourbon.)
Availability: 750ml Bottles

Attention Computer Nerds: Cigar City Error Establishing Database Connection
A little computer meets beer for your Monday morning. Cigar City Error Establishing Database Connection.

311 Is Creating Own Craft Beer
311 is planning to launch their own beer. What is it? An amber ale of course.
Rock Brothers Brewing (Tampa, FL), Cigar City Brewing (Tampa, FL), and Nebraska Brewing (Papillion, NE) are apparently involved in the project.
Initial details indicate the beer will most likely debut in July, limited to Los Angeles, and in the bands hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
Nebraska Brewing is planning to make the 311 beer a part of their canned lineup later this year.
The beer has yet to be named.
Recently, 90’s sensation Hanson went into craft beer, with the launch of MmmHops.

Cigar City Caffe Americano Double Stout (Non Barrel Aged) Bottle Potential
The very highly rated Cigar City Caffe Americano Double Stout is aged in rum barrels. Bottles of the barrel aged offering have been previously available. Now, it looks like the non-barrel aged base beer will be making a bottle appearance.
Cigar City Caffe Americano Double Stout is an imperial stout, brewed with coffee, cacao nibs, and vanilla beans.
Traditional Caffe Americano is made by adding water to espresso. We break all the rules with this Double Stout. We refuse to add water to our beer after fermentation, but have no issues adding beer to our espresso. This deep, dark stout exhibits rich espresso and coffee notes, which are contributed by the generous use of roasted barley and locally masted espresso. That simply is not enough for us. We also add masted, raw chocolate and a hint of vanilla to this big bodied stout. Dodge the red eye and take a shot of the dark.
Cigar City Caffe Americano Double Stout will be available in 22oz bottles. This beer has not been announced by the brewery. Beer Street Journal has contacted the brewery for more information.
Style: Imperial Stout (w/ Coffee, Cacao Nibs, Vanilla Beans.)
Availability: 22oz Bottles

Cigar City, Cycle, J Wakefield, & 7th Sun Create Beer Tribute “A Beer Named Sue”
Cigar City Brewing, Cycle Brewing, 7th Sun Brewing, and J. Wakefield Brewing are teaming up to create A Beer Named Sue.
The weisse, aka “Florida Weisse” is loaded with prickly pear, brewed as a tribute to one of Tampa Bay’s biggest craft beer supporters, Sue Muntner. Sadly, Sue lost a hard fought battle with cancer in June of 2014.
This beer is dedicated to Sue Muntner, a wonderful friend and supporter of craft beer in Tampa Bay. We made this beer in a style she championed and loaded it with Prickly Pear. Please enjoy this Florida weisse in a snifter, the only appropriate glassware for toasting Sue.
A Beer Named Sue collaboration has not been officially announced by any of the breweries. Cigar City will handle the 22oz bottle packaging.
Style: Berliner Weisse (w/ Prickly Pear)
Availability: 22oz Bottles
