Avery Lunctis Viribus is the brewery’s 33rd release in their Barrel-Aged Series. A unique blend of barrels that you might not always mix together, highlight this new release.
Avery Lunctis Viribus is a 50/50 blend of American sour beer aged tequila barrels, and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. It’s not often you see tequila blended with wine.
This 33rd entry in the series will be available Sunday at the brewery at 11 am. Distribution states found below.
Distribution: AZ, CA, CO, DC, IL, KS, KY, MA, MN, MO, PA, TX, VA, WA, and WY.
Avery Callipygian Barrel-Aged Stout looks to be the 35th entry in the brewery’s on-going Barrel-Aged Series.
Bottling to occur in April, Avery Callipygian Barrel-Aged Stout features vanilla beans, cocoa nibs, cocoa, coffee, and bourbon barrel-aging.
No 35. She was twerking well before the word was in our vernacular. A true trailblazer. A mover and a shaker of monumental proportions. Our muse and inspiration for this full-bodied, bodacious , and well-rounded stout. You know we love big stouts and we cannot lie!
Avery Callipygian Barrel-Aged Stout will be a 12 ounce bottle offering. Limited as every release in the series.
Avery Brewing’s Tweak, you might know by another name –Meph Addict. The name (referencing Mephistopheles) was changed because it sounded a little too close to a recreational drug you hopefully have never used. (Read the label description.)
Avery Tweak is Mephistopheles Imperial Stout, with a chunk of coffee thrown in. If you haven’t geeked out enough, the brewery aged in four months in bourbon barrels. Batch #2 is ready to as we kick off 2016. This edition a little boozier than Batch #1 (by more than 2% ABV).
Our very own Parker, of the cartoon cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in our 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, our executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character development – a 4-month hiatus in bourbon barrels – were necessary to satisfy our more ardent and demanding viewers.
Batch No. 2 of Avery Tweak will be available in 12oz bottles in the tap room starting January 31st, 2016.
Avery Double D’s Barrel-Aged Spiced Ale will mark the 32nd release in the brewery’s ongoing Barrel-Aged Series.
Double D’s is aged in bourbon barrels with ginger. Presumably brewed by folks of the red haired persuasion, judging by the description below.
No. 32, yes even lab geeks of the ginger variety can be creative.
Avery Double D’s Barrel-Aged Spiced Ale is a 12 ounce bottle offering. Bottled in December, 2015.
Distribution: CA, CO, IL, KY, MA, NC, PA, TX, VA, WA.
Avery Pump[KY}n, Batch 2, returns to the brewery’s lineup on November 8, 2015.
Avery’s Barrel Aged Series is damn near legendary, featuring sours alongside bourbon imperial stouts. Avery PumKYn, a compliment to the the slightly boozier Avery Rumpkin, is a Kentucky bourbon barrel aged porter with a smattering of fall spices. The 2015 edition’s alcohol by volume is 15%.
What’s in a name? Sometimes the simplest can be the most descriptive, and in this case, derisive and divisive! After much internal debate (ad nauseum! Bourb[KY]n, anyone?), we decided a single letter change was the best way to embody the bourbon barrel-aging that adds layers of complexity to an already exquisitely spiced pumpkin porter.
Avery PumKYn will be available in 12oz bottles and draft at the brewery on the 8th, limited distribution found below.
Avery Vallum Barrel-Aged Wild Grape Ale will be the 30th entry into the brewery’s barrel aged series.
The 100% spontaneously fermented beer uses Cabernet Franc grapes, and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
Yet another 100% spontaneous fermentation! The wild yeast living on on the grape skins once again did all the heavy lifting. Now do a 12 oz curl into your favorite drinking glass. Sip. Repeat. Feel the Burn.
Avery Vallum will be a 12 ounce bottle offering. These releases are limited, with a majority sold at the brewery on release day.
Avery Ill Dolia is #29 in the brewery’s coveted barrel aged series. This release breaks the bank, as the brewery filled the rarest and most expensive barrels they have in their arsenal.
Avery Ill Dolia is an American wild ale, 44% aged in Madeira, 31% in Cabernet Sauvignon, and 25% Carcavelos barrels.
No. 29 is a Byzantine and beautiful blend from the rarest and most expensive barrels we’ve ever filled. And worth every damn penny.
Avery Ill Dolia was bottled in May, 2015. The beer will release on Sunday, July 12th.
Avery Fortuna (No. 28) was just recently released.
Style: American Wild/Sour Ale (w/ Barrel Aged. Wine Aged.)
