Upslope Manhattan Style Rye Ale (Aged in Whiskey) Hits Cans in June
Upslope Manhattan Style Rye Ale is joining the brewery’s Lee Hill Series. This fourth edition in the series is a rye beer, aged in Leopold Brothers Maryland-style Rye Whiskey barrels. The goal is to have Upslope Manhattan Style Rye Ale mimic flavors of a manhattan cocktail.
“I love a good Manhattan with rye whiskey and have always wanted to brew a beer that could replicate the great flavors of this classic cocktail,” said Head Brewer Sam Scruby. “When presented with first use Leopold Bros. Maryland Rye Whiskey barrels, the decision was easy. I threw out the recipe book and went outside the box for this cocktail-inspired Manhattan Style Rye Ale.“
Upslope Manhattan Style Rye Ale will release on June 4th in 19.2oz cans at the brewery in Boulder, Colorado. $10 dollars per can.

Upslope Lee Hill Barrel Aged Imperial Stout , Feb 19th
Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder, CO) is releasing their third offering in the rare Lee Hill Series, Lee Hill Barrel Aged Imperial Stout on Thursday, February 19th. The Lee Hill line highlights one-off brews and experimentation.
Release three is a barrel-aged imperial stout, aged in Leopold Bros. Maryland Rye Whiskey barrels.
“Brewing and aging the Lee Hill Series in a small-batch format gives us the opportunity to experiment with the finest ingredients available,” said Head Brewer, Sam Scruby. “The Volume 3 Barrel Aged Imperial Stout is a sturdy, yet smooth, take on the classic stout style.”
Upslope Lee Hill Barrel Aged imperial Stout is brewed with three different kinds of roasted malts to add coffee, chocolate and dark fruit flavors to the beer, on top of the barrel notes the beer picked up. Available in 16oz cans in the brewery’s tap room starting February 19th, 2015

Upslope Continues To Grow, Adds Capacity, New Beers
Upslope Brewing sold 19,600 barrels in 2014, a 66% increase over 2013. The 2014 growth was fueled by strong home market demand plus new market addtions, such as Texas, Arizona and Wyoming.
With the addition of Montana and New Mexico Upslope will now be distributed, border-to-border, throughout the Intermountain West,” says Henry Wood, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This will put the freshest beer into market areas where we love to work and play.”
Upslope recently purchased a new centrifuge, canning line, cold room and three more 120-barrel fermenters. The extra tanks will bring the brewery’s production capacity to 35,000 barrels annually (just over 1 million gallons a year).

Upslope Foreign Style Stout Returns
Upslope Brewing Company’s Foreign Style Stout returns the week of December 15th, 2014.
“Originally brewed in 2009, Foreign Style Stout debuted as our first anniversary beer and has been one of my favorites ever since,” said Upslope’s Co-founder and Director of Brewery Operations Dany Pages. “It embodies the roots of a foreign export stout, but is brewed to have a rich head and smooth roast character.”
Upslope Foreign Style Stout is available in 12oz, 6-pack cans for a limited time.

Upslope Wild Saison Cans Debut November 20th
Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder, CO) will introduce Volume 2 in the their limited release Lee Hill Series – Wild Saison.
Wild Saison is a sour ale, fermented with a saison yeast along with lactobacillus and brettanomyces. The beer is also aged 7 months in red wine barrels before being packaged in 19.2 ounce cans.
“Our Lee Hill Series gives us the opportunity to showcase our experimental side and these highly limited brews are a fun experience for our brewers and fans alike,” said Head Brewer, Sam Scruby. “We’re excited to release Volume 2 and share our American sour take on a classic beer style.
Volume 1 in the Lee Hill Series was Barrel Aged Brown Ale.
Upslope Wild Saison will debut on Thursday, November 20th in the brewery’s tap room.

Upslope’s Barrel Aged Brown Ale Launched
Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder, CO) launched a new 19.2 oz can this week, Upslope Barrel Aged Brown Ale.
Barrel Aged Brown Ale joins the Lee Hill Series, a quarterly release that kicks off with this offering. The beer is aged in Leopold Brothers Maryland Rye Whiskey barrels.
“Upon building a second Boulder brewery, our plan was to retain our original location at Lee Hill to continue the legacy of innovation, collaboration and experimentation that has brought us to where we are today,” said Founder Matt Cutter. “The introduction of the Lee Hill Series allows us to showcase the best of what has emerged from this brewer’s playground.”
Cans are on sale in the tap room for $10, limited four per person.

Upslope Creates New Thai White IPA
Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder CO) has a new summer offering headed to their Mix Box 12-packs this summer.
Replacing Belgian Style Pale Ale, is Upslope Thai Style White IPA.
“What started as a collaboration with Denver’s Euclid Hall Bar and Kitchen has evolved into a tap room favorite. When deciding on our next Limited Release style, the answer was easy,” said Upslope Founder, Matt Cutter. “Uncommon ingredients like Thai basil, ginger, lemongrass and coriander combine to give our Thai IPA its unique, but well balanced, signature flavor.”
Thai Style White IPA starts with a Belgian wit yeast, and a blend of seven different Asian-inspired spices. Looks to be as unique as it is refreshing.
