Bronx Brewery to launch a new Barrel Reserve Series in July
Bronx Brewery is preparing to unveil a new series in July – The Bronx Barrel Reserve Series.
As one could expect, the series features various beers from the brewery’s B-Sides Series, and year-rounders, aged in barrels of the brewery’s choosing.
First up this summer will be B-Side Series release Boom Boom, a white IPA, aged in red wine barrels.
Each of the releases will be draft only through 2016. The brewery tells Beer Street Journal that they hope to release some barrel-aged beers in cans in 2017.
Look for Barrel-aged Boom Boom in July on draft at the brewery and select bars and restaurants.
Bronx Brewery Rye Fidelity, a B-Sides release
Bronx Brewery Rye Fidelity joins the brewery’s music themed B-Sides Series. Already, this beer is one of the fastest selling to date.
Rye beer runs deep with the brewery as it was the second beer they ever brewed. It was time to kick it up another notch. As Bronx puts it – “a more badass rye beer.”
With heavy citrus aromas on the nose and a crisp, dry, warm finish on the mouth, it’s a complex, yet finely balanced big hoppy beer with an 8.1% ABV that we can’t get enough of. Looks like we committed some infidelity with our Rye Fidelity.

In additional to the lactose milk sugar for creaminess, the brewery adds caramel and chocolate malt. Spotlight: Bronx Pale Ale, the brewery’s flagship can
In the fall of 2011, Bronx, New York saw the first brewery in 50 years – Bronx Brewery. One of New York’s smallest breweries has a focus you might not expect. Pale Ales.
For the last few years, Beer Street Journal has covered their releases, and today, a small care package from Bronx Brewery showed up at our office. It’s time to see what we’ve been writing about.
Bronx Pale Ale is the brewery’s flagship beer. Described as an English pale ale meets American hops. After tasting it – have to say we agree. If you were to mix the malt structure of an EPA with the aggressiveness of American hops, you have Bronx Pale Ale.
Our flagship: a bold American pale ale with an English backbone. Think driving a ’64 Mustang over London Bridge. This is the beer we drink when hanging out after a hard day at the brewery.
Bronx Pale Ale is a year-round offering, in 12 ounce cans and draft.
Style: Pale Ale
Hops: Centennial, Cascade
Malts: Muntons Marris Otter, Weyerman’s Caramunich 1, Baird Crystal 70/80, Briess Vienna, Victory, Aromatic

The B-Sides series is a nod New York’s Bronx borough’s hip-hop roots and musical influence. The first release in the series was in September, El Serrano Red IPA.

Bronx Brewery shifts to 12oz cans, new designs
Bronx Brewery (New York, New York) has just unveiled new 12 ounce cans into their lineup. The brewery is making a switch from the 16 ounce, 4 packs.
The new packaging features a few custom design elements, updated brand logos, and imagery, plus a newly designed ‘BX’ seal that highlights the brewery’s industrial setting in the south Bronx..

Year round offerings in the 12 ounce packaging, includes:
Bronx American Pale Ale: Deep amber in color with English caramel & biscuit malts balanced with West Coast citrus hops. (Orange, silver and black packaging)
Bronx Rye Ale: A crisp, golden-orange pale ale with bold rye & piney hops. (Blue, silver and black packaging)
