Cans: Ipswich Brewing Ships IPA & Summer Ale

Ipswich Brewing Company (Ipswich, MA) is shipping I.P.A. and Summer Ale in cans.

12oz can editions of the two offerings are shipping this month, alongside their glass counterparts.  The rundown:

Ipswich IPA – Our IPA is an unfiltered cross between an English and American IPA, with a strong, dry bitterness balanced with a slight malty sweetness. A mixture of first-rate U.S.

Ipswich Summer Ale – A light-bodied, unfiltered Blonde ale that retains the bold flavors typical of an Ipswich Ale, our Summer Ale is light enough for a hot summer day and can satisfy even the most scorching thirst.

Cans: Airways PSA Summer Ale Arrives

Airways Brewing Company (Kent, WA) summer seasonal arrives today. The citrusy pale ale kicks off the brewery’s summer. The best part about this offering? Cans.

“Our summer ale has a slightly new name, but is the same flavor-packed pale as last year,” said Alex Dittmar, founder and head brewer at Airways Brewing Company. “At 4.8% ABV, it’s the perfect beer to take along with you to a barbecue or on a hike.”

In addition to PSA Summer Ale, Sky Hag IPA, Chocolate Stout and 16oz cans of Pre Flight Pilsner are also available.

Epic Brewing To Can This Summer

Epic Brewing will join in the trend of craft brewers beginning to can this summer. The Denver location is in the process of setting up a canning line.

The first 12oz can offerings will be Escape to Colorado IPA and Hop Syndrome Lager.

The PakTech six packs will be distributed nationally this summer.

Upslope Adds Wyoming

Upslope Brewing Company (Boulder, CO) will soon be available in Wyoming after partnering with Teton Distributors. Distribution starts in mid-February, 2014.

The core flagship lineup will initially ship Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, Brown Ale, Craft Lager and Imperial India Pale Ale.  All the offerings are available in aluminum cans.

We are overwhelmed at the incredible hospitality and enthusiasm for our arrival. We look forward to expanding our distribution to this great state.”

The addition of Wyoming brings the distribution footprint for Upslope to four, including Colorado, Texas, and Arizona.

West Sixth Launches New Can

West Sixth Brewing Company (Lexington, KY) is launching a new can, Lemongrass American Wheat.

It may be cold now, but you can drink like it’s hammock weather. You’ll see Lemongrass American Wheat on draft in February, with cans by March.

“This american wheat is brewed with Sorachi Ace hops and nearly 6 pounds of fresh lemongrass in each 15 barrel batch. The Sorachi Ace hop, which originated out of Japan, has a very unique flavor that we believe complements the lemongrass perfectly.  It’s a craft beer drinker’s wheat.”

West Sixth’s other cans include IPA, Amber, and Christmas Ale.

Heavy Seas Now Officially in Cans [PIC]

Heavy Seas (Baltimore, MD) in now officially in the canning biz. Loose CANnon, the brewery’s hop bomb of an IPA has a new metal home. This is the first time any Heavy Seas brew has been canned, so you can imagine the brewery’s excitement.

Expect to see 12oz/12 packs of these hoppy bad boys in the coming weeks. Throw of few in your bag, and get outside.

Malts: 2 Row, Caramalt, Munich
