Red Hare Brewing (Marietta, GA) is the first Georgia brewery to can their offerings. Long Day Lager was first up. Gangway IPA is slated to be the second canned offering. (And second package offering to boot.)
Good ale was difficult to come by for British troops living in colonial India in the early 18th century. Shipping the British malt ale overseas left it spoiled due to the long trip. The answer was India Pale Ale, or IPA. This brew could withstand the British ships due to the generous amount of hops that gives the IPA its lively taste.
