Ballast Point Victory at Sea Returns Friday. Brewery Teases Year Round

Ballast Point Victory at Sea

Ballast Point Brewing Victory at Sea returns this Friday. The imperial porter is brewed with vanilla beans, and coffee. It never sticks around very long.

Our Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. We infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Caffe Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.

Ballast Point Victory at Sea is available in 22oz bottles and draft. The brewery teased fans this week by saying it might become a year round offering. We can always hope.

Style: Imperial Porter (w/ Coffee, Vanilla Beans)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft. Limited Release

10% ABV

Sierra Nevada & Ballast Point’s Electric Ray

Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp is legendary in craft beer. Countless people have gotten the opportunity to brew their own collaboration in Chico, California. Some of the best creations make it into a Beer Camp Mix Pack.  Coming this summer, Sierra Nevada takes it up a new notch with twelve Beer Camp collaborations with breweries across America.

Sierra Nevada Electric Ray is a collaboration with Ballast Point Brewing, combining the flavor of an IPA with that of blonde lager.

As ever, San Diego’s Ballast Point looked to the sea for inspiration . A play on the fish’s scientific name- Torpedo californica – Electric Ray pays homage to our Hop Torpedo, the source of much this beer’s big flavor. Its massive grapefruit and floral notes deliver a high-voltage hit of hop flavor.

Electric Ray is one of twelve offerings coming this July.

Style: Imperial Pale Lager
Hops: Cascade, Zues, Nugget, Northern Brewer
Aroma Hops: Amarillo, Crystal, Centennial, Cascade
Malts: 2-Row Pale, Pilsner, Oats, Munich, Caramel
Yeast: Lager

Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Beer Camp 12-pack

Arrival: July, 2014
