The Veil Brewing brews with Hawaiian Punch in ‘Never Aloha’

The Veil Brewing Never Aloha

Think tropical. Think about that impossibly red kids drink that stained everything and got the entire kindergarten class wired. The Veil Brewing Never Aloha, a new gose might come close.

This beer is all bout Hawaii. The Richmond, Virginia brewer used the Hawaiian sea salt, a necessary ingredient in gose as a part of the base beer. Not tropical enough for you? Next is hundreds of pounds of of passionfruit, pineapple, mango, blood orange, and cherry purée.

Awesome can design: The Veil Brewing Extra Kreme, with Trillium Brewing

The Veil Brewing Extra Kreme

Virginia runs on DIPA. The Veil Brewing Extra Kreme, a collaboration with Trillium Brewing, debuted this week.

Besides the fantastic branding, The Veil Brewing Extra Kreme is a collaboration with Massachusetts based Trillium Brewing. The hop bomb is an “oat” imperial IPA, brewed with Simcoe lupulin powder, Simcoe hop pellets, and Australian Enigma hops. Additionally, oat milk, oat flour and oat malt was used in the brew, making this beer silky smooth.

This beer is actually one of two collaborations created with Trillium Brewing recently. The hoppy one you see above, and a funky beer that has been racked to wine barrels. Debut to be announced.

Extra Kreme debuted Tuesday in the taproom, and as of Thursday, still available in 16 ounce cans.

Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Oat Milk, Oat Flour)
Availability: 16oz Cans
Debut: 3/7/17

8% ABV

The Veil Brewing’s first bottles are in the works

The Veil Brewing Bottles

Richmond, Virgina’s The Veil Brewing is nearing their one year anniversary. Their cans have become beer lover gold. Soon, the brewery will be bottling as well.

RELATED: The Veil brews with Oreos

Over the past year, co-founder Matt Tarpey and crew have been building a strong brand in Richmond’s “Scott’s Addition” area. The lines are out the door for can releases on Tuesdays. Destined not to rest on some pretty pretty dank IPAs, the brewery has been building a sour program. A wooden room above the tap room holds a coolship, and a few blocks over, barrels and barrels of sour beer are funking away, waiting for the big time.

This week, the brewery received their first shipment of bottles. A hint that sour beers are on the way to the public? We think so.
