The Bruery Fourthmeal, a collaboration with Maine Beer Company

The Bruery Fourthmeal

The Bruery Fourthmeal, a collaboration with Maine Beer Company is being bottled today. The Freeport, Maine based brewery recently traveled to Placentia, California for a brew day.

The Forthmeal name is a little homage to some of Maine Beer Company’s most popular offerings, Lunch and Dinner. The beer is a hoppy, Belgian-style ale, that combines flavor elements that both breweries are known for – Maine Beer Co.:Hoppy, The Bruery: Belgian influenced.

The Bruery and Maine Beer Company got together and cooked up something special for you: fourthmeal. It isn’t brunch; it isn’t “dinner.” It’s a hoppy Belgian-style ale that brings aspects of both breweries to the table: fruity, Belgian yeast esters, a crisp, ready backbone, citrus and piney hop characteristics, and a dry, hop-forward finish. There’s no-one shouting “come n’ git it” when it’s time to dine – just mouthwatering, dry-hopped aromatics, signally that it’s time for fourthmeal.

Per The Bruery, the collaboration will be “hoppy” with limited distribution through their network. Release details to follow.

The Bruery Arbe Released to Society Members

The Bruery Arbre

The Bruery Arbe is an Society Member exclusive release imperial stout.

Designed to explore the flavor profiles of barrel toast, The Arbe Series is aged in light toast (light char) barrels from Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. You’ll find the flavor profile below.

The Arbre series is an exploration of barrel toast. We brewed a rich, malty imperial stout and divided it into three parts, laying each down in brand new American oak barrels from our friends at Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. This variation of Arbre spent time resting in lightly toasted barrels and reveals notes of oak as well as raisins and just a hint of smoke. A remarkable beer on its own, but even more exciting when tasted side-by-side with its medium toast and dark char counterparts for a truly educational experience.

The Bruery Arbe is available starting this week to The Bruery Society members. No distribution.

Style: Imperial Stout (Oak Barrel Aged)
Availability: 750ml Bottles
Release: 8/5/15

11.3% ABV

The Bruery Freckle joins the Preservation Series of releases. Freckle draws inspiration from Mexican mole sauce.

The base beer for Freckle is an imperial stout, brewed with cocoa nibs and spices.

Freckle is a robust imperial stout that has been infused with the essence of an elegant Mexican molé. The dark, roasted barley in this 10.8% abv stout has been accented with a touch of rich chocolate and a hint of south of the border spice for our interpretation of the unique, sweet & savory sauce used throughout southern Mexico.
