Nutella inspired Terrapin Moo-Tella truly delivers
Terrapin Moo-Tella has joined the brewery’s Special Reserve Series.
This specialty lineup started in 2013 with a white chocolate edition of Moo-Hoo, Terrapin’s chocolate milk stout. After a heated round of fan voting, White Chocolate Moo-Hoo snagged a return to the series again (on shelves now).
Since White Chocolate, the series has grown to include dessert inspired releases like French Toasted Wake-n-Bake, and Tiramisu-Hoo.
Now for Terrapin Moo-Tella. The Nutella inspired beer uses their Moo-Hoo Milk Stout, brewed with Nashville based Olive & Sinclair cocoa nibs, and a touch of hazelnut syrup. Brewery co-founder “Spike” Buchowski chose the syrup route because of potential nut allergy issues. Don’t let that slow you down. Moo-Tell really delivers.
Terrapin’s Special Reserve Series milk stouts are a bit more robust and bold than their seasonal Moo-Hoo. As far as Moo-Tella is concerned, the beer truly delivers a Nutella-inspired experience. The nose is a blend of hazelnut and chocolate, with a creamy milk chocolate finish that becomes more and more like the dessert spread as it warms.
Our 2017 Reserve Series release ‘Moo-Tella,” is a Chocolate Imperial Milk Stout so decadent you could eat it with a spoon. The intermingling of Olive and Sinclair chocolate and the rich flavor of hazelnuts creates an experience so pleasurable it should be shared with friends.
Terrapin Moo-Tella is now available in16.9-ounce bottles hitting the market the week of November 12th.
Style: Milk Stout (w/ Hazelnut. Cocoa Nibs. Lactose.)
Availability: 16.9oz Bottles. Limited Release.

The Veil Brewing French Vanilla Hornswoggler debuts this week
There’s a new dessert beer in Richmond, Virginia this week. The Veil Brewing French Vanilla Hornswoggler joins the lineup of the brewery’s most decadent.
This journey starts with Hornswoggler, the brewery’s chocolate milk stout. This variant is conditioned on a house blend of coffee, plus vanilla beans and a touch of hazelnut. The brewery explains this beer is a blend of each of the flavors, without one dominating.
The goal for French Vanilla Horns was to be a harmonious blend of all of the adjuncts. It was not the intent for it to be a coffee, Vanilla, or hazelnut bomb. It turned out awesome! Super aromatic. Very complex flavor profile.
The “Hornswoggler” series has featured a Coconut, Oreos, and Peanut Butter Oreos edition.
The Veil Brewing French Vanilla Hornswoggler debuts on May 23rd in limited 16 ounce cans and draft.
Style: Milk Stout (w/ Cocoa Nibs. Coffee. Vanilla Beans. Hazelnut. Lactose.)
Availability: 16oz Cans, Draft.
Debut: 5/23/17

Candy bar in a bottle: Rogue Hazelutely Choctabulous
Thank the local Oregonian fans for this beer. Rogue Hazelutely Choctabulous is headed your way in the near future.
If you’ve never tried blending your own beers at home, or wherever you’re drinking, it can be fun. Or a disaster. Fans drinking at Rogue Brewing basically designed this blend of their own, the brewery took notice. Taking Chocolate Stout and blending it with Hazelnut Brown Nectar, the resulting blended beer is abit like a candy bar. Or a lot.
How did it come out? Dessert beer. A freaking delicious bottle of beer candy. Hazelnut Brown Nectar and Chocolate Stout are great beers on their own, but in this bottle, the result is truly greater than the sum of their parts. The flavors blend perfectly into a real treat of a beer that’s not too sweet, or too heavy. We ‘Hazelutely’ believe there is no reason to share this beer.
For years, our hardest core local fans have been drinking a blend of Chocolate Stout and Hazelnut Brown Nectar, they say it takes like a chocolate candy bar. we have taken these two absolutely fabulous beers and fused them together to create Rogue Hazelutley Choctabulous, dark and decadent with a rich nutty flavor up front followed by a chocolate truffle finish. We’re thrilled to share our little secret with the world.
Rogue Hazelutely Choctabulous is available for the first time in 22 ounce bottle release, hitting shelves nationally.
Style: Stout (w/ Hazelnut, Chocolate.)
Availability: 22oz Bottles, Draft.
Debut: January, 2017.
5.7% ABV

Dessert beer: Westbrook 6th Anniversary Hazelnut Chocolate Imperial Stout
Westbrook 6th Anniversary Hazelnut Chocolate Imperial Stout is on the way. Another for the dessert beer category.
This release is pretty straight forward. The Mount Pleasant, South Carolina based brewery created an imperial stout brewed with hazelnuts, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and candi sugar. (We are assuming the candi sugar is just to boost the alcohol by volume.) Your dessert beer is served.
Birthdays beer is how famed Mexican Cake got its start. Brewed to celebrate a big milestone, only to become an annual release. (Now with barrel-aged variants.) Last year’s edition, 5th Anniversary Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout is a 10.5% alcohol by volume imperial stout featured raspberries, vanilla beans and cocoa nibs.
Our 6th Anniversary beer is a rich and chocolatey imperial stout matured on cocoa nibs, roasted hazelnuts and vanilla beans.
Westbrook 6th Anniversary Hazelnut Chocolate Imperial Stout will be a 22 ounce bottle release.
Style: Imperial Stout (w/ Vanilla Beans, Hazelnuts, Cocoa Nibs, Candi Syrup.)
Availability: 22oz Bottles
