NoDa & Night Shift Brewing team up once again

NoDa Stop, Collaborate, and Glisten

NoDa Brewing (Charlotte, NC) is teaming up again with Everett, Massachusetts’s Night Shift Brewing. The result will be a fan favorite from years ago.

Some will remember Stop, Collaborate, and Glisten. An instant hit for young NoDa at the time. Next October, the collaboration will come out of the barrels, ready for the big time once again.

NoDa Stop, Collaborate and Glisten is a golden ale base, ferment in wine barrels with Sauvignon Blanc grape must and wild yeast.

“When we made the decision to turn our original production facility into a barrel aging, sour, specialty house, we knew we had to bring our friends at Night Shift Brewing down to bring back one of my favorite collaborations of all time — Stop, Collaborate & Glisten,” said Chad Henderson, co-owner & head brewer of NoDa Brewing Company.  “I’m excited to brew with them again.”

NoDa Stop,Collaborate & Glisten will return to bottles and taps after its time in barrels on October 29th, 2016. If you are really bold, check out their music video for this beer below.

NoDa Coco Loco Cans Hit the Market

NoDa Coco Loco Cans

NoDa CoCo Loco cans have just hit the market. This is the fourth can offering from NoDa.

NoDa Coco Loco is a porter, brewed with toasted coconut (toasted in house.) Combine that with chocolate and brown malts, and you have a medal winning beer.

Deep, rich and delicious. This robust porter has a base of Chocolate and Brown malts for a stunningly deep rich color with ruby highlights. The slight bitterness from American chocolate is balanced with the sweet odotes of organic coconut we toast onsite at the brewery. It was even awarded the Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal in 2012.

NoDa Coco Loco is now available in draft and in 16oz cans.

Style: Porter (w/ Coconut)
Availability: 16oz Cans, Draft. Year Round.

6.2% ABV

NoDa Brewing Announces Second Production Location

NoDa Brewing Logo

NoDa Brewing Company (Charlotte, NC) has announced plans to open a second location in 2015. The brewery’s production needs have outpaced the current location’s capacity.

The new spot will be just one mile from the current location, at 2921 N. Tryon Street, Charlotte. The 32,000+ square foot building was built in 1939 and used to house Fleischmann’s Vinegar until 1997.

Renovation will begin in 2015.

“We expect to preserve the look and feel of the 1930’s industrial design while adding modern and advanced brewing equipment,” said Todd Ford, owner of NoDa Brewing Company.  “The new facility will allow us to continue to grow and serve customers throughout the Charlotte metro and neighboring communities.”

NoDa will expand their brewing operations with the purchase of a new 60 bbl brew house, plus a few 240 bbl fermenters. That’s an output increase from 10,000 barrels to 20,000 barrels in the first year of coming online. A 30 head canning line is also planned for the new location.

The existing NoDa tap room and production facility will remain open, focusing on specialty brews, barrel aging and sour beer production.

NoDa & Night Shift Team Up, Music Video Included

It wasn’t enough for two breweries to collaborate. They had to make a throw-back rap video. Today, NoDa Brewing is releasing Stop, Collaborate & Glisten, their new co-brew with Night Shift Brewing in Everett, Massachussetts.

The beer is a golden ale that has been resting in white wine barrels for the past year. While the beer is probably pretty great, the video might be a little more bitter. (Pun intended.)

NoDa/Night Shift Brewing Stop, Collaborate and Glisten will available on tap at the brewery, and bottles sold (already sold out in Massachussetts!)

Enjoy the video. I see you rapping Lindsay…

Noda Launching New CAVU All Season Ale

NoDa Brewing Company (Charlotte, NC) has announced a new can to ship in the coming weeks. CAVU All Season Ale will debut this Friday.

CAVU is a flying acronym for Ceiling And Visibility Unlimited, or a perfect day to fly. A session ale is indeed a perfect beer to camp, hike, bike, or just plain sit outdoors with.

What it is: NoDa is calling this beer a “season ale.” A hybrid of pilsner and wheat beers. 20% of the malt bill is American wheat. The rest is pilsner malt.

It’s a session ale with a little wheat. Dry hopped w mosaic. Just enough to impart a slight tropical nose and taste.

CAVU hits the tap room this Friday, with 16 oz cans arriving mid-spring.

Style: Session Ale
Hops: Mosaic
Malts: American Wheat, Pilsner

Availability: 16oz Cans, Draft

4.6% ABV
