Boulevard Chocolate Ale with Raspberry released
Boulevard Chocolate Ale with Raspberry has joined the brewery’s 2016 Smokestack Series lineup.
For most, the base recipe is familiar. Boulevard Chocolate Ale has been a popular part of the Smokestack Series for a few years now. Boulevard collaborated with chocolate genius Christopher Elbow in order to get the chocolatey nuances right.
Here in January, 2016, the brewery has released a fun spin on the popular chocolate recipe, this time with raspberries.
We’re always looking for playful new ways to approach the art of brewing, so we invited back celebrated chocolatier Christopher Elbow to reimagine our very popular collaboration, Chocolate Ale. Elbow has earned a worldwide reputation for his ability to harmonize all kinds of flavors with chocolate. For this exciting new version has has paired the bright flavors and aromas of raspberry for a fresh take on an old favorite.
Boulevard Chocolate Ale with Raspberry is a 750 milliliter offering. A limited part of the brewery’s ongoing Smokestack Series.
Style: American Strong Ale (w/ Chocolate, Raspberry)

Boulevard Snow & Tell released in seasonal lineup
Boulevard Snow & Tell, an oak-aged Scotch Ale has joined the brewery’s Fall/Winter lineup in November, 2015.
This new beer joins the brewery’s core seasonal program, that was preceded by another new seasonal offering – Boulevard Funky Pumpkin.
Malt forward, oak-aged scotch ale is now on shelves alongside tried and true seasonal, Nutcracker Ale.

Boulevard Thrillogy, a Smokestack Series mixed pack, released
Boulevard Brewing has released a new 3-pack, hitting markets in Kansas City, Missouri today.
The Boulevard Thrillogy features three beers, all from the Smokestack Series. This boozy box set includes Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, Rye on Rye (rye beer aged in rye whiskey), and Imperial Stout (aged in whiskey barrels). That’s almost 80 ounces of beer.
On shelves this week in Boulevard’s hometown, other Boulevard markets in the coming weeks.

Boulevard unveils new logo, packaging tweaks
Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) has updated their logo as the roll into 2016.
The brewery will celebrate 26 years of brewing in just a few short weeks. Boulevard decided it was time for a refresh. The new logo will appear on signage and and merchandise in early 2016. Bottle and packaging updates will start in March. (See Tank 7 update above.)
“This is a project we’ve wanted to do for several years,” said Jeremy Ragonese, Boulevard’s Director of Marketing. “The identity wasn’t broken, but we saw an opportunity to enhance it and make it more representative of what Boulevard is today. It has been nearly 16 years since we’ve made any significant alterations to our core packaging architecture, and this evolution is a way to both recognize Boulevard’s growth and demonstrate our commitment to the brewery’s future.”
Boulevard worked with Helms Workshop for the design refresh, headed up by Christian Helms.
Boulevard Brewing was founded in 1989.
Boulevard adding Kentucky & Arizona, plans five more states in 2016
Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) will be adding Arizona and Kentucky to their distribution footprint in the coming months.
The brewery has signed distribution agreements with Arizona’s Hensley Beverage Company, and Kentucky’s Beer House Distributors. Both will start getting shipments in January, 2016.
“With the addition of six new 1,000-barrel fermentation tanks, plans to expand our distribution territory can become a reality,” said Bobby Dykstra, Vice President of sales for Duvel Moortgat USA. “There has been a strong and persistent demand for Boulevard beers in Arizona for quite some time and Kentucky is seeing an explosion of craft beer excitement. We’re thrilled to bring the taste of the Midwest to these states.”
Additionally, Michigan, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Albany, New York and parts of upstate New York and Delaware will be Boulevard territories in 2016.
