Tombstone Pizza creates pizza flavored beer with New Belgium

Voodoo Ranger Pizza Beer

Tombstone Pizza has teamed up with New Belgium to create a limited edition Voodoo Ranger Pizza Beer for National Pizza Day April 7th.

Tombstone Pizza is a frozen staple in freezers across America. We’ve put down hundreds over the years after a night of drinking. We’re pretty sure Tombstone knows and now wants in on the beer action too. Introducing Voodoo Ranger IPizzaA.

Yes, we have an IPA that tastes like pizza. Actually, according to Tombstone’s PR company, they tell us the beer is a New Belgium Voodoo Ranger IPA base, brewed with tomato powder, oregano extract and “other natural flavors.” Per the company, “this brew is a blend of all the flavors of a pizza (a crispy crust, tangy tomato sauce, savory herbs and spices, with a finishing pepperoni kick of heat.) So basically a hoppy pizza.

The finishing pepperoni kick of heat will make you reach for another slice… or another pint.

IPizzaA Beer debuts on National Pizza Day on April 7th, which is ironically not March 14 (3.14) for a very limited time for $49.99 per 4-pack in un-named select markets. If that price is too steep for you, feel free to sign up for a free 4-pack of the beer and forthcoming new Tombstone Pizza flavor here from now until launch day.

Style: IPA (w/ Tomato Powder. Oregano Powder.)
Availability: 16oz Cans. Limited Release.

Debut: 4/7/24

The “Incognito” hop process creates New Belgium Liquid Paradise IPA

New Belgium Liquid Paradise IPA

New Belgium Liquid Paradise IPA kicks off a new run of Voodoo Ranger Rotating India Pale Ales in 2019.

Expect three different hoppy beers throughout the. year, starting with New Belgium Liquid Paradise IPA. This tropical flavor heavy IPA uses Mosaic hops that have undergone the “incognito” process. This new proprietary technique for hop processing results in a bolder hop flavor in your finished beer. Very few brewers have used hops from the Incognito method in brewing to date.

“While Mosaic hops are nothing new, the Incognito process efficiently extracts the aromatic lupulin from the plant material to offer new layers of flavor and aroma for us to play with.” – Ross Koenigs, Research and Development Brewer at New Belgium

Nugget, Azacca, and Munich hops were also added to round out the Mosaic Incognito profile. Expect “bursts of guava, mango, grapefruit and white grape” in this medium-bodied beer.

New Belgium teams up with Knob Creek Bourbon

New Belgium Oakspire Bourbon Barrel Ale

New Belgium Brewing’s latest collaboration is not with a brewery, but with a bourbon distillery. New Belgium Oakspire Bourbon Barrel Ale is hitting shelves.

The Fort Collins, Colorado brewery touts this beer as an entirely different kind of bourbon-inspired ale. instead of resting this release in barrels on regular barrel staves, Knob Creek soaked and oak spirals signature bourbon, which New Belgium aged on a rye-heavy ale.

“Our Brewhouse team likes to say that we didn’t just develop a custom extraction technology, but rather, a beer-flavoring ‘missile,’ and we’re thrilled to present our newest, innovative venture with the launch of Oakspire Bourbon Barrel Ale,” says Ross Koenigs, Research and Development Brewer.

He’s not joking about the “missile” innovation. The brewery’s engineers created a missile-shaped vessel where Knob Creek Bourbon-soaked oak spirals and char from used Knob Creek barrels “mingle” with the high rye ale. This extraction includes harvesting the barrel char, plus a blend of toasted oak spirals at varying degrees to bring all the oak and spice into the liquid.

New Belgium Oakspire Bourbon Barrel Ale is available in 12-ounce bottles and draft now, while supplies last.

Style: American Strong Ale (Oak Aged. Bourbon.)
Hops: Nugget, HBC 472
Malts: Pale, Munich, Caramel 80m, Rye, Roasted Barley

New Belgium Le Terroir returns to the brewery’s Vintage Sour series

New Belgium Le Terroir 2018

New Belgium Le Terroir, one of the brewery’s most popular wood-aged sour ales, has returned to the brewery’s portfolio.

Le Terroir (French, meaning soil or land) first debuted in 2011, under the watch of Peter Bouckaert, who has since departed the brewery for Purpose Brewing & Cellars. Previously bottled as a Lips of Faith release, Le Terroir is a dry-hopped American Wild Ale.

Le Terroir is a French term meaning ‘of the earth’ and is frequently used to reference the natural, environmental conditions that affect beer. So it is with our Wood Cellar and the foeders in which Le Terroir is created. These oak barrels combine nature and craftsmanship to age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity, and vibrations. Coupled with dry-hopping using fruit-forward and experimental hops, Le Terroir is a beer that rewards differently every time you experience it.

New Belgium Le Terroir has moved from 22-ounce bottles to 375 milliliter corked and caged bottles.

Style: American Wild Ale
Hops: Nugget, Amarillo, Strata (Dry-Hop)
Malts: Pale, Wheat, Caramel-80, Carapils, Oats

Availability: 375ml Bottles, Draft.

Pumpkin meets habanero in New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin

New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin

Looking to make fall a little more spicy for a second time is New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin. A pumpkin beer that’s just a little different from the coming onslaught of pumpkin-themed everything.

Now, not every pumpkin beer is the same. Especially if it’s brewed with habanero peppers. New Belgium Atomic Pumpkin starts sweet, with a touch of Saigon cinnamon, and finishes with a kick of peppery heat. Think pumpkin pie with a little burn.

“Atomic Pumpkin is a twist on pumpkin ale for beer drinkers who like some heat. Classic fall flavors like pumpkin pie and cinnamon offer a sweet counterpart to the fiery peppers, making it a great, full-flavored beer for the crisp autumn weather.” Bryan Simpson, public relations director
