In November, New Belgium Brewing (Fort Collins, CO) launches the last two Lips of Faith offerings for 2012. The first is Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout. The second, is collaboration #2 with Brewery Vivant in Michigan dubbed Biere De Garde. New Belgium recently started distributing in “The Mitten” prompting Escoffier Bretta Ale. Arrives this month. Brewed with peels of oranges and bergamots.
The bright and refreshing Biere de Garde ale has a citrus bite from the peels of oranges and bergamots, reinforced with Sorachi Ace hops. The copper-colored beer is brewed with pale malt, oats for creaminess, and a hint of clove from Vivant’s house yeast, which brings a spicy bite to the finish.
