Highland IPA is a new year-round, west-coast style, India pale ale, coming in 2016.
The Highland IPA recipe is created by head brewer Hollie Stephenson, and features Chinook, Citra, and Centennial hops.
A sturdy malt bill frames hints of tropical fruit, lemon rind, grapefruit and dank hop notes. Brilliant and golden in color, the beer finishes resiny, citrusy and dry.
Stephenson touts this beer to be one of the most unique in the southeast, among some pretty stiff/hoppy competition (Wicked Weed Pernicious, SweetWater IPA, NoDa Hop Drop n’ Roll, Creature Comforts Tropicalia to name a few). This new IPA is how Highland and Stephenson defined the west coast style.
Highland IPA debuts in January, 2016, on draft and 12 ounce bottles year-round.
