Green Flash Brewing Expanding To Georgia

Green Flash Brewing has been eyeing the southeast for a while now.  Recently, it was announced that Green Flash would be shipping to Tennessee by the end of 2011/2012.  Tack on Georgia to the southeast expansion.  The brewery has decided to go with Savannah Distribution.

In early 2011, the brewery began operations at Mera Mesa – a 45,000 sq ft facility.  In November, the brewery announced that the San Diego facility would undergo an expansion 1 year ahead of schedule, thanks to increased sales volumes nationally.  Once all the expansions are complete, the brewery will make the jump from 45,000 barrels a year to 100,000 barrels in 2013.  That goes alongside new markets Green Flash plans on entering over the course of the next months and years.

Green Flash was founded in 2002 in San Diego, California by Mike and Lisa Hinkley.  Chuck Silva joined the brewing team in 2004.  (Silva Stout!)  Green Flash has a sizable arsenal of beers including Le Freak, Hop Head Red, West Coast IPA & more. The newest addition to the line up is Rayon Vert.

The has been no official launch date announced or what will be the first Flash beers to hit the state.

    • Scoo- Still on the way. I last heard April.  Allow me to investigate.  Finch’s Beer Co just hit Georgia this week

      • Thanks Reid.  I looked on their website and for “coming soon”, they just have TN and ME.  I may have to sneak over to AL or SC and get some early.

I have never heard of Finch’s Beer Co.  I will have to check them out.
