America’s oldest brewery, Yuengling, partially caught fire Saturday evening. The two-alarm fire looked worse on the outside, then on the inside.
Even though the damage is estimated at nearly $1 million, the brewery is still able to brew and distribute normally. Just a portion of the top of the building seen above was burned
Beer Street Journal is told that no brewery employees were injured, however a firefighter suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized.
Yuengling was founded in Pottsville, Pennsylvania in 1829. Prohibition? Fire? No problem for the Yuengling family.
