Brooklyn Brewing’s next Quarterly Experiment is Brooklyn “K” is For Kriek, brewed a year ago.
In 2014, the brewery added Montmorency cherries to their Local 2 offering, an abbey ale, and aged it in American charred oak bourbon barrels. Over time the sugar from the cherries fermented, turning Brooklyn “K” is For Kriek into something special.
Long Island, New York saw the first bottles of “K” is For Kriek hit shelve this week. The 750ml offerings will make their way to bottle shops over the next few weeks.
