Some Thoughts On The Texas Beer Laws
Scott Metzger of Freetail Brewing is less than thrilled with the laws in Texas. Here is a little insight to his thoughts on the situation. Pretty funny, and sad all at the same time.
Oregon Craft Brewers produced 1.2 million barrels of beer last year. Only 880% more than Texas! Texas Lege: CHANGE THESE LAWS!!!

42.8% of draft beer consumed in OR is OR craft beer. In TX, only 0.7% of the beer consumed in made by a TX craft brewer. CHANGE THESE LAWS!

In OR, 40% of $ spent on beer in grocery stores is Oregon brewers. In TX, beer $ is sent to other states. Why not laws supporting TX first?
The day you hear about me dying, it will be because Texas Beer Laws made my brain explode. RIP, Future Me.

Anyone wanna buy my brewery? Maybe I’ll just move to North Carolina and open one where breweries can thrive in a free market. @winbassett

Freetail Brewing recently received a cease & desist order over use of the beer name Hopasauraus Rex. Other than get involved in what is sure to be a frivolous lawsuit, Freetail had this to offer. Complete with cool drawing. Epic.
