According to local news sources, Avery Brewing Co. lost 570 bottles worth of rare beers over the course of the past 8 months with a value of approximately $15,000 due to theft. Avery employee Adam Dickinson is accused of stealing said beers, selling them on eBay, and even giving some to his new boss as a gift.
The majority of the bottles were rare releases and limited edition brews. “It blew us all away mostly because it is a very tight knit community. Around here we call each other family. We haven’t seen anything like that before,”Avery assistant Tap Room manager Matty Lambuth says. The suspect is currently being held on $5000 bail.
