Lagunitas Releasing New Mondo-Uber-Extra-Colossal-Double-PILS

Ah, the saga of Lagunitas. They order a new brewhouse and it gets clobbered in transit.  Meanwhile, the brewery’s founder Tony Magee does some number crunching and finds that it is much more cost effective to build another brewhouse in his previous home of Chicago.

Seasonals have been pretty FUBAR too, thanks to production issues caused by the brewhouse debacle.  However, there is a diamond in the rough.  A new seasonal will emerge now that the new brewhouse is in working order.  Lagunitas PILS is being cranked up big time.  Coming in August : Mondo-Uber-Extra-Colossal-Double-PILS.  A beefy (and no doubt imperial) edition of PILS.

Style: Imperial Pilsner
Availability: 22oz bombers
Arrival: August, 2012

If you are looking to stock up on these aluminum bottles today, sadly you won’t find them. They made an appearance in the locker rooms last night, and potentially will be sold at the Staples Center next season. (According to an AB rep.)  If anything, you can download this artwork, print it out, and pretend.  You won’t see any of these babies on the Jersey Shore this season.

Olde Hickory B's Nuts

This is B’s Nuts.  The 2012 Olde Hickory Pro Am Winner.  Brewed by Brian Pesci.  If the name doesn’t make you laugh, you’re too mature for me.

Brian’s a good guy.  We like Brian.  But, well,… that’s him over there.  So you can imagine what happened when he decided to brew a Brown Ale for the 3rd Annual Olde Hickory Pro Am.  He took a classic English-Style Brown Ale and gave it an American twist, via a ton of pecans.   We like Brian. We love this beer.

Style: Brown Ale (w/ Pecans)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft
Arrival: TBA

Fan Dumps Beer On LeBron James In Boston [Video]

Well Celtics fans, thanks for taking some of the heat off of Philly’s fans. Last night, someone dumped a beer on Lebron James as he was leaving the court. The Heat whooped up on the Celtics 98-79.

Dane Cook, Celtics Fan. (Not the beer dumper.)
