Widmer Brothers Brewing (Portland, OR) continues to build out 30 Beers for 30 Years Series with three more releases.
The next three offerings represent 1994, 1995, and 1996 of the brewery’s history.
Widberry (1994). The weizenbier is brewed with local black raspberries, 4.6% ABV
Blackbier (1995). Widmer’s take on a German schwartzbier. Instead of fermenting it as a lager, they did it as an ale. 6.5% ABV
Big Ben Porter (1996). Brewed with molasses and licorice. Special beer because it a dispute with the government because it was referred to as a “traditional” London-style porter. (Brewers love this). 5.5% ABV
All three offerings will be available in 22oz bottles for the next few weeks in Portland, Oregon for a limited time.
