Breakside Passionfruit Sour Ale back for summer 2016
Breakside Passionfruit Sour, a Great American Beer Festival silver medal winning sour, returns as a summer seasonal this week.
Our award winning sour ale returns as our official “summer seasonal.” Passionfruit Sour is brewed as a traditional German Berliner weisse, and then we add a unique, tropical twist. We use lactic acid producing bacteria to produce a beer that is light in body, extremely refreshing, and mouth puckeringly tart. The addition of passionfruit in our lagering tanks gives this beer an inviting stonefruit aroma.
Breakside Passionfruit Sour is a 22 ounce bottle offering, as well as draft, available from July through September.
Style: Berliner Weisse (w/ Passionfruit)
Hops: German Hersbrucker
Malts: American Two Row, German Wheat, CaraPils, Crystal 20L
Yeast: Lactobacillus
