Blue Mountain A Hopwork Orange
Jester King Hibernal Dichotomous 2015 is ready to go. The brewery’s winter saison is the fourth seasonal Dichotomous released by the Austin, Texas brewery.
Jester King Hibernal Dichotomous 2015 heavily influenced by the winter season, from fruits or vegetables additions, to how it is fermented.
This round of Hibernal was brewed with December, 2014. Peeled and grated raw beets from Johnson’s Backyard Garden were added to the mash, and orange juice and zest from G and S Groves and fresh thyme from Pure Luck Farm were added to the whirlpool. While fermenting in stainless steel, the brewery added more of each six weeks later.
Jester King Hibernal Dichotomous 2015 will release on Friday, March 27th. The brewery plans to release and distribute around 3,500 bottles.

Red Brick Hibiscuwit is coming to 12oz cans in mid-March. What was once a draft only offering last year is getting an upgrade to package.
The recipe is the brainchild of the brewery’s Tyler Cates. He entered Hibiscuwit into Red Brick’s quarterly Employee Brew-Off, and found his kegs were the first to go.
Red Brick Hibiscuwit is a Belgian-style wheat beer, brewed with organic hibiscus, sweet orange peel, and cinnamon. Hibiscuwit will be one of the first two core beers the brewery has released, after Laughing Skull launched last year.
Expect a Mid-March shelve date in Georgia, the brewery’s other states, by April, 2015.

…Brewmaster, Chris Leonard, “Smooth Sail Summer Ale is a beer that has been in development for quite some time. The goal was to produce a light, refreshing, flavorful beer that appeals to active folks and will become an integral part of warm weather fun. The beer is more than 20% malted wheat, giving it an airy mouthfeel and a frothy head. We’ve employed a neutral strain of “wheat” yeast to produce a clean tasting beer that is delicate on the palate. American hops are introduced late in the boil to impart a crisp flavor dimension. Finally, dried orange and lemon peel went into in our hopback to provide a fruity, citrus aroma – without adding sweetness…
Heavy Seas Smooth Sail Summer Ale will be available only in cans and draft.
