Triple C Brewing Releases Cans [PICS]

Triple C Brewing (Charlotte, NC) has officially started canning. The brewery recently installed their own canning line from Boulder, Colorado based Wild Goose Canning. The 4-head filler can produce up to 40 cans a minute.

First up in aluminum is Golden Boy (blonde ale, 4.8%) and 3C IPA (6.3% ABV). Below, Wild Goose’s Tays Anderson teaches Triple C owner Chris Harker and David Carey how to work the new line.

Triple C Brewing opened in Charlotte’s south end in 2012. To date, the brewery has released a series of 22oz bottles. Four packs of both Golden Boy and 3C IPA release into the market starting today, and available in the tap room for off premise consumption.

Spotlight: Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler Cans

Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler a previous Tasting Room Series release, will return as a part of the brewery’s new canned lineup this year.

A radler is blend (typically 1:1 mix) of beer and soda or lemonade. This zesty, refreshing, take on the classic “cyclist,” is sessionable and full of character. Boulevard Ginger Lemon Radler uses a lemon Juice, lemon extract, and freshly juiced ginger.

The brewery’s initial can lineup will feature Unfiltered Wheat BeerPop-Up IPA, and Heavy Lifting IPA.

Troegs Sunshine Pils Cans Return in Early April

For a second year, Troegs Sunshine Pils cans will hit shelves. A crushable, warm weather beer.

The sun’s role dominates the Hop Cycle as vines grow before the human eye and budding hop cones reach maturity beneath the sun’s rays. Sunshine Pils combines the refreshing snap of a Euro-style Pilsner with an assertive hop character. Crisp. Hoppy. Pilsner.

Troegs Sunshine Pils cans return in early April, alongside 12oz bottles, and draft. Distribution starts with Central PA, expanding to the brewery’s other markets shortly after.

Troegs Cultivator Cans Hits Shelves for First Time

Troegs Brewing (Hershey, PA) releases Cultivator, the brewery’s spring seasonal, is now available in cans for the first time.

The helles bock (spring bock) launched just a year ago into the brewery’s seasonal lineup. As the nation waits for spring, those in Troegs distribution territory can slam Cultivator in cans.

Emerging from springtime’s fertile ground, Cultivator celebrates the start of hop-growing season as sprawling fields of hop rhizomes climb and tether to hop bines. This spring bock delivers hints of toasted grains, fresh baked bread and delicate floral hops.

Troegs Cultivator Helles Bock cans are now available across the entire brewery distribution footprint, which now includes North Carolina.

Red Brick Hibiscuwit Launches in Cans In March

Red Brick Hibiscuwit is coming to 12oz cans in mid-March. What was once a draft only offering last year is getting an upgrade to package.

The recipe is the brainchild of the brewery’s Tyler Cates. He entered Hibiscuwit into Red Brick’s quarterly Employee Brew-Off, and found his kegs were the first to go.

Red Brick Hibiscuwit is a Belgian-style wheat beer, brewed with organic hibiscus, sweet orange peel, and cinnamon. Hibiscuwit will be one of the first two core beers the brewery has released, after Laughing Skull launched last year.

Expect a Mid-March shelve date in Georgia, the brewery’s other states, by April, 2015.

…Brewmaster, Chris Leonard, “Smooth Sail Summer Ale is a beer that has been in development for quite some time. The goal was to produce a light, refreshing, flavorful beer that appeals to active folks and will become an integral part of warm weather fun. The beer is more than 20% malted wheat, giving it an airy mouthfeel and a frothy head. We’ve employed a neutral strain of “wheat” yeast to produce a clean tasting beer that is delicate on the palate. American hops are introduced late in the boil to impart a crisp flavor dimension. Finally, dried orange and lemon peel went into in our hopback to provide a fruity, citrus aroma – without adding sweetness…

Heavy Seas Smooth Sail Summer Ale will be available only in cans and draft.
