PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERNSHIP

The public relations intern will work closely with the Libations & Communications PR Manager on day-to -day communications strategies and initiatives including but not limited to:

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Assist in researching and drafting various press materials, pitches, newsletter stories, blog posts, etc.
– Assist in updating and tracking social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Flickr, etc.
– Monitor, track and manage media coverage reports and clippings.
– Assist in writing and maintaining SweetWater website content as assigned.
– Support Public Relations in responding to media inquiries and managing film shoots as assigned.
– Assist in maintaining database of media contacts and media lists.
– Perform other duties as workload necessitates.
– Attend and actively participate in department and staff meetings, industry meetings and company events and festivals.

REQUIREMENTS:
– Must obtain or be working towards a degree with focus in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising or similar focus.
– Must have polished writing skills and familiarity with AP writing style.
– Must be skilled in management of social media platforms. HTML knowledge is a plus.
– Must have basic photo/video editing capabilities.
– Internship requires a regular schedule of more than 25 hours per week. Potential for weekend availability throughout scheduled festival/events.
– This is a non-paid internship, however collegiate credit available where applicable.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

The marketing intern will work closely with the Minister of Propaganda (Director of Marketing) on day-to-day marketing strategies and initiatives including but not limited to:

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Assist in updating and tracking social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Flickr, etc.
– Assist with various in-store promotion planning projects.
– Assist in planning and coordination of various events and promotions.
– Assist in tracking, analyzing and follow up for festivals and events.
– Responsible for photo documentation of day-to-day brewery updates, events, festivals, etc.
– Act as a liaison between sales and marketing assisting in planning, executing, documenting and tracking various promotions as sales support.
– Perform other duties as workload necessitates.

REQUIREMENTS:
– Must obtain or be working towards a degree with focus in marketing, business, communications, advertising or similar focus.
– Must be skilled in management of social media platforms. HTML knowledge is a plus.
– Must be a proficient writer.
– Strong analytical skills a plus.
– Must have basic photo/video editing capabilities.
– Internship requires a minimum of 25 flexible hours per week with weekend availability throughout scheduled festival/events.
– This is a non-paid internship, however collegiate credit available where applicable.

Gate Crew for the SweetWater 420 Fest –
We are looking for individuals that can provide great customer service while selling wristbands at the SweetWater 420Fest. This can include handling cash including making change, checking IDs, communicating with event patrons, and various other crew support roles. All jobs require you to be personable, courteous, outgoing and work in large crowds of people. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification. Prior event experience is a plus. Applicants must be available for on-site orientation Tuesday prior to the event and work a full shift all three days of the event.
Tentative shifts are:
Friday, 4/20 2pm to Midnight
Saturday, 4/21 10am to 11pm
Sunday, 4/22 11am to 8pm
Final times may vary slightly. Pay is as a day rate, not hourly.

Gate Manager –
We are looking for individuals who will supervise and facilitate our gate crews. Gate crew members may sell wristbands, handle cash, check IDs or provide direction to 420Fest patrons as they enter one of three event gates, all with great customer service. Supporting the gate crew includes: providing change for gate crew members, facilitating breaks, answering crew member questions, and reconciling sales.? In addition, Gate Managers will handle all customer service issues with gate crew and patrons.? Interpersonal skills include having a calm, flexible and professional demeanor to handle multiple personalities and demands in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older with valid identification and have some supervisory experience. Prior event experience is a plus. Applicants must be available for on-site orientation Tuesday prior to the event and work a full shift all three days of the event.
