So Super Bowl XLVI is over, Giants take it all. Regardless of your beer tastes, I’m pretty sure you were looking forward to the beer commercials. Anheuser-Busch was the exclusive beer sponsor the big game, explaining the absence of Miller-Coors, Heineken and the like. USA Today teamed up with Facebook to host Admeter, allowing viewers to vote on their favorite commercials.
As it stands now, the Doritos “Sling Baby” has taken the first spot. So how did AB do? First and foremost, they finally nationally launched Platinum, a new 6% ABV “top shelf” beer. Those 2 commercials didn’t rank as high as the Weego, and Prohibition commercials. The Weego commercial is intended to help raise money for the Animal Rescue Foundation. Weego is himself a rescue dog, adopted by a dog trainer. His talents earned him the role in the commercial, motivating Bud Light to help raise money for Animal Rescue. Every like on Facebook gives a dollar to the foundation. (Personal Note: No one gives a crap if you like Bud or not, your like helps saves homeless animals. Do it.)
