Avery Brewing announced over the weekend that the next release in the Barrel aged series releases July 16th.  Meretrix is 2 years in the making.  A sour aged in Cabernet barrels.  Brewery only release. Find/make some local Colorado friends.

Doc Holliday Beerfest 2011

The 2011 Doc Holliday Beerfest takes place on May 14th, 2011 in Griffin, Georgia.  Doc Holliday, famous wild west gunman hails from Griffin.

$25 Early Birds (First 100 tickets purchased)
$35 Late Bloomers (Last 100 tickets purchased)
$10 Spectators

This festival will highlight spring seasonals from local breweries and wineries, as well as craft selections from all over the world. The Sage Hill String Band will perform throughout the festival.  Also, The 2nd Annual Hootin’ Hollerin’ Mustache Contest

Short’s Brewing Turns 7

Short’s Brewing Company turns 7 this year.  Founded in 2004, Short’s output was a mere 178 barrels. 2010 was Short’s biggest year to date.  Short’s is holding a 7 year celebration on Saturday, April 30th.  From Shorts:

It is no secret that Short’s and our loyal fans are taking over the Michigan craft beer scene and that we have a lot to celebrate!
