Six adults and two children were watching tv in Columbus, Georgia when the fire broke out. All the individuals got out of the burning building safely, until Walter Serpit had something important to save. Beer.
Serpit, who walks with a cane, and a self proclaimed alcoholic, ran back into the fire to save his beer stash.
“I told them to get the kids out and everything, and me myself, being an alcoholic, I was trying to get my beer out,” he said. “You feel me?”
Serpit managed to save a few cans of beer before he was forced to leave.
