Great Divide Brewing’s new addition to the Yeti lineup has arrived. The no so mythical beer is a new take of the imperial stout, with the addition of oatmeal and raisins to the brew. Great Divide says Oatmeal is a “gentle beast.” Look for it now in 22oz bombers, and draft.
Much like its legendary predecessors, this Yeti is big, bold and dark. The addition of rolled oats softens Yeti’s notoriously roasty backbone and the small amount of raisins added in the brew kettle create a unique dark fruit character. Just as admired as those that came before it, Oatmeal Yeti Imperial Stout is a gentle beast.

Tried it a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It will probably benefit from some age so that the alcohol mellows a bit and the dark fruit comes forward more.
