Left Hand Brewing (Longmont, CO) is very close to the St. Vrain River. The brewery even has a beer honoring the river. Over the past week, the river earned it’s “mighty” name.
Over a 3-4 day period, over 10 inches of rain fell. That’s more than a half a year’s worth. 20,000 homes were damaged, with a multiple deaths reported. Breweries were threaten, but seemingly all the local craft brewers made it through. This weekend, Left Hand is using funds from the Longmont Oktoberfest to flood and disaster services.
