Left Hand Dedicates Annual Fest To Flood Relief

The Longmont (Colorado) Oktoberfest is this weekend. This year, Left Hand Brewing is dedicating the fest to Flood Relief 2013. Over the past few days and weeks, heavy rain has devastated the Denver area and surrounding regions. Yesterday, Left Hand was finally able to ship beer out of the brewery again.

All proceeds from Longmont Oktoberfest will be split among five charitable operationsLongmont Meals on Wheels, HOPE for Longmont, and the Left Hand Brewing Foundation, the brewery’s own disaster fund. That means every beer, or donation will support disaster victims.

During the festival on Saturday at 4:30 pm, a formal salute the rescue teams will be held. Left Hand co-founders Eric Wallace & Dick Doore will also toast the brewery’s 20 years, and honor Longmont’s strength.

If you can’t make it to Longmont Oktoberfest/Flood Relief 2013, make a $10 contribution by texting “REBUILD” to 27722 to participate in our text-to-donate campaign, contribute online at www.lefthandbrewing.com, or send a check to Left Hand Brewing Foundation, Attn: Flood Relief, 1265 Boston Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
