The image of Churchill will NOT appear on the upcoming Swamphead/Cigar City collaboration. The barleywine dubbed “Churchhill” has been renamed to Church On A Hill. Why? The Churchill estate issued Cigar City a cease & desist order. The Churchill Estate maintains a copyright on his writings, works, and according to the foundation – images.
The barleywine collaboration features 2 beers – an English version, and an American version brewed at each brewery, to be released simultaneously. The American edition is dubbed Roosevelt.
The bottles will be released soon. (Once the re-labelling takes place.)
