If you’ve ever been to our brewery, you’ve likely seen the old, beat-up truck that hauls away our spent grain. (That truck belongs to Lugene, who’s been feeding his dairy cows the hearty malt for over a decade. Named in his honor, Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout is brewed with milk sugar and milk chocolate. (The rich and iht creamy brew reminds us of a cold glass of chocolate milk and our hometown “Aggie” roots.

Odell Amuste: A Fusion of Beer & Wine

The brewing talent at Odell Brewing (Fort Collins, CO) are working on fusing the beer & wine world with Amuste, a porter. The dark brew has not only grape juice in the brewing process, but is also aged in wine barrels.

Must is to wine as wort is to beer; the primordial ooze, the source and foundation, that feeds the process of fermentation we all love so much. Amuste is the culmination of a two year endeavor to marry these two fuels into the same fire. An imperial porter aged in oak wine barrels accented with juice from Tempranillo  grapes grown on the western slope of Colorado, this harmonic combination is truly, a must.

Style: Imperial Porter (w/ Grape Juice, Wine Barrel Aged)
Availability: 750 ml bottles
Arrival: TBA

9.3% ABV

Tapping parties occur today in honor of Halloween. Proceeds from the beer at Rio benefit the Food Bank of Larimer County.

“La Calavera is a medium bodied stout with nice roast character,” said Odell pilot brew manager, Brent Cordle. “Brewed with roasted pablano peppers and whole pumpkin gives it a distinctive chili pepper aroma and a subtle hint of pumpkin to balance just the right amount of heat in the finish.”
