GABF Tickets Potentially Revenue $3 Million

Yesterday, the Great American Beer Fest sold out all 49,000 tickets the Denver based beer festival. If you do some basically mathematical estimations, that’s nearly $3 million dollars in revenue to the Brewer’s Association the festival sponsors.

Surly Begins Brewing Pentagram

Today Surly is brewing Pentagram, an American Wild Ale that will age in red wine barrels until 2013. Surly has mentioned that they hope Pentagram will be an annual bottle release.

Stone Switching Some Offerings To 4 Packs

Stone Brewing Co is in the process of phasing out SOME 6 pack offerings in lieu of 4 packs. Stone’s Sublimely Self Righteous Ale was recently revealing to be headed to 4 packs, along with Oaked Arrogant Bastard, and Ruination IPA. Savannah Distributing, one of Georgia’s largest distributors, expects the new packages between now and September.

22 oz bombers will still be available.

GABF Tickets Hit eBay For As Much As $700

Opportunistic individuals. It’s been just shy of 2 hours since Great American Beer Fest tickets sold out, and some have already surfaced on eBay for nearly $700! That is the high end of the secondary sales of course.  It looks like tickets are starting around $149 dollars a ticket.  More than double the original cost ($65) of the ticket.  As you can see above and below – it’s a little ridiculous already.  Make sure you get that next day shipping. Mid October is WAY too close. Anyone with thoughts on these prices???

Great American Beer Fest Tickets On Sale Today

Great American Beer Fest tickets go on sale to the general public today at 10 AM  MDT. (For those that aren’t time zone savy, look up what time it is in Denver.) Earlier in the week, Ticketmaster screwed up the members only ticket sale.  In a matter of minutes, the general public gets a shot at the largest beer festival in America.

Fingers crossed on this one Ticketmaster.  [TicketLink]
