Stone Brewing Co is in the process of phasing out SOME 6 pack offerings in lieu of 4 packs. Stone’s Sublimely Self Righteous Ale was recently revealing to be headed to 4 packs, along with Oaked Arrogant Bastard, and Ruination IPA. Savannah Distributing, one of Georgia’s largest distributors, expects the new packages between now and September.
22 oz bombers will still be available.
For clarity…
* Stone Ruination IPA & OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale going from 6pks –> 4pks
* Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale 4pks being added
* No other changes to any other beers.
Well folks…there it is from the source himself! Greg, can you comment on the pricing difference of the 6 vs 4 pack? This is where most beer geeks have taken strong opinions against packaging changes, when you still charge for the price of 6, but only get 4. Greenflash is a good example, 2 less bottles, shelf prices remained the same.
I like this. Ruination 4 packs are welcome considering they’re almost $20 for a six around these parts (New England).
Wouldn’t mind seeing some Arrogant Bastard in a four pack though. Make it happen Greg! Huge Stone fan here.
I assume it’s going to a 4 pack but staying the 6 pack price.
Stone says the case price will be the same, but the 4 packs will be 1/3 less than the 6’er
