Bell’s Consecrator Dopplebock Returns

Shipping from Bell’s Brewing this week is Consecrator Dopplebock. A big, malty full bodied beer.

Description:
A traditional doppelbock fermented with a Bohemian lager yeast. Reddish brown in color, with a mild hop profile, Consecrator Doppelbock is a well balanced, full bodied beer with hints of caramel and molasses in its smooth, malty finish. As with our other lager brands, Consecrator undergoes a lengthy lagering period. Unlike the 6 week profile of the other two brands, Consecrator experiences a full three months in the fermenting vessel, giving it an exceptionally smooth character.

Style: Dopplebock

Taste Expectations: Caramel, caramelized sugar. Toffee, molasses. Some bread. Some booze.

Availability: 12oz/6pks.  Draft.  Brewed for Fat Tuesday Release

8% ABV

  1. Are you just announcing the release or will BCD actually be distributed to GA? While living in Chicago, I took a road trip with a friend just to pick up this beer since Bell’s had temporarily pulled out of IL at the time. Despite what they recommend, we love this beer with at least a 6+ month age on it to give it a very unique and delicious flavor profile.
