Virtue Cider and Goose Island Trade Barrels

He’s not kissing it, he’s smelling it. ┬áJohn Laffler, brewmaster of Goose Island receives barrels from Virtue Cider. Virtue (Greg Hall of Goose Island’s new baby) just blended cider that was aging in 12 year old Heaven Hill barrels. They then sent the barrels back to Goose Island. Something fun is in the works for these barrels. Bourbon meets cider meets beer anyone?

    • Jeff – We aged our winter release, “The Mitten,” in 12 year old Heaven Hill barrels – We just blended and are planning on a November release. It will be available on draft in IL/MI/NYC/OR at that time. Stay in touch as things progress… http://www.facebook.com/virtuecider
