Terrapin Beer Co’s (Athens, GA) Golden Ale is made for locals only. Local to Georgia that is. Above is the new artwork gracing Golden Ale bottles from here on out. The brew, produced in Athens, will not ship outside the state. A little reward for those in the Peach State, or those visiting. The beer is brewed year round. FYI: It used to be called Terrapin Cream Ale.

Hmmm, are they simplifying distribution, or playing to the “buy local” crowd?
I wonder the same thing. Or could it be they are trying to utilize the “rarity” strategy? Like many ‘whales,’ some things sell more successfully simply because they are “rare.” Heck, I’m now tempted to start buying this more frequently only because I can here in Atl.
