Tröegs Brewing Scratch Updates
Tröegs Brewing has really been cranking out the beers in their Scratch Series this year, and according to them we should be expecting more. In July, look for a session ale, a German-style Schwartzbier, a Belgian Golden Ale, an Imperial IPA and more. Plus, they will be doing another limited draft release of Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale. Just a few more good reasons to stay thirsty my friends.
Tröegs Scratch 98 Arrives
On Twitter many had been asking about the Tröegs Mango Triple IPA. In a sort of strange premonition Tröegs released Scratch 98 this morning just in time to answer the call. Scratch 98, the Triple Mango IPA is limited-release and the most-hopped beer they’ve ever produced with nearly five pounds of hops and thirteen pounds of mangos in each barrel.

Tröegs Brewing just keeps trucking along and released another scratch beer today. Scratch 102 is a Scottish Ale taking inspiration from the strong malty ales originally brewed in Scotland. TIme to put on those kilts boys.

Tröegs Scratch 100 Released Today
100 scratch beers have now come and gone at the Tröegs brewery. Seems like just yesterday we were drinking Scratch 45 doesn’t it? Scratch 100 is a single hop pale ale using their Hop Gun filled with over 40 lbs of El Dorado hops. So far John Trogner is very pleased with the Hop Gun’s results stating “so far, it has proved to be the most efficient way to infuse hop oils into our beers.” Here’s to 100 more!

Tröegs Barrels Bourbo’Nator Round Two
Beer porn alert! Tröegs Brewing has just filled more bourbon barrels with their award-winning Tröegenator. Tröegs did a run of this beer before back in January making it their first ever bourbon-barrel aged scratch. Be on the watch for even more barrel-aged surprises from Tröegs in the coming months.

Tröegs Scratch #94 Released Today
Today Tröegs Brewing released Scratch #94 in their tasting room. This IPA features 1000 lbs of apricots added during fermentation then dry hopped with citra hops. Scratch #94 will be draft only, no growlers.

Troegs Scratch #91 “Dunkel Lager” Taps This Week
Troegs Brewing (Hershey, PA) adds Scratch #91 “Dunkel Lager” to the series this month. The recipe comes from Tröegs brewer Jeff Campbell. A traditional Bavarian dark lager brewed with Chocolate and Munich malts and German noble hops, Scratch #91 is smooth, rich and complex, but comes without the heaviness of many other dark beer styles.
