Spring Sam Adams: Cold Snap
Is Samuel Adams Cold Snap a rebrand of the White Ale? It looks that way. The spring seasonal white ale uses a host of different spices like coriander and orange peel to create a complex, smooth flavor.
Crisp & lively, the hazy smoothness of this unfiltered White Ale is roused by the cracking of spring spices. From a hint of sweetness from orange peel & plum to the peppery bite of fresh ground coriander, the subtle blend of spices creates just the right refreshing kick to signal that spring is on its way. Cheers!
Style: White Ale (w/ Orange Peel, Coriander, Plum)
Availability: 12oz bottles, Draft.
Arrival: Spring, 2014

A Weyerbacher for Breast Cancer
Weyerbacher “Althea” in Greek means healing. That’s the idea behind this Belgian-Style dubbel from the Easton, Pennsylvania brewery. Weyerbacher plans to donate a portion of each of the bottle sales to help defray the cost of breast cancer treatment.
Althea is created in conjunction with The Breast Cancer Patient Assistance Fund of Lehigh Valley Health Network. The fund helps those that need financial assistance, from travel, treatment, prothesis, child care, and more. The recipe was developed by Weyerbacher’s New Jersey representative Natalie DeChico. Italian plums are added to create a fun nuance to this dubbel.
A limited run of 750ml bottles (corked & caged) will arrive in October, 2013.
Style: Belgian Style Dubbel (w/ Plums)

Southern Tier To Get Plummy
Southern Tier Brewing (Lakewood, NY) is adding to the infamous Blackwater Series. The series is home to the likes of Creme Brulee and Choklat.
Plums are a diverse group of species, with somewhere between 19 & 40 varieties depending upon whom you ask. We’re using what we consider to be the best to brew with. The Italian plum has beautiful dark skin & the flesh is perfect for fermentation.
MOODY & EVOCATIVE
Plum Noir’s mild sweetness is derived not necessarily from the plums, but from the many malts we use. A bit of plum flavor is present as well as earthy, toasted grains, & hints of caramel with mild coffee overtones
Style: Imperial Porter (w/ Italian Plums)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft
Arrival: Summer, 2013
8% ABV
