Ommegang’s New Operatic Crescendo

Ommegang Crescendo

A busy week for Brewery Ommegang.  Yesterday, BSJ mentioned that the brewery will celebrate 15 years with “XV“, a trappist style dark ale.  The above is Crescendo, a saison.  Brewed with a variety of spices, including grains of paradise, coriander, lemon peel, and white pepper. Crescendo is brewed for the 2012 Glimmerglass Festival Season, an internationally renowned summer opera festival based in Ommegang’s home of Cooperstown, New York.  Now the name makes sense right?

This delectable saison is brewed especially for the 2012 Glimmerglass Festival Season, it opens with full flavor and carbonation – then fruit, spice and malt aromas.  The flavors then expand into a crescendo of complex tastes and body.  The finish is gentle, with a touch of sweetness and a lingering note of spice.

Style: Saison (w/ Grains Of Paradise, Coriander, Lemon Peel, White Pepper)
Availability: 750 ml bottles, corked & caged.  Draft
Arrival: TBA

7.3% ABV
