Burial Beer & Hoof Hearted Brewing create ‘Two Dollars’ Pale Ale

Burial Two Dollars Pale Ale

Asheville, North Carolina’s Burial Beer and Marengo, Ohio’s Hoof Hearted Brewing have teamed up on a new pale ale.

This beer starts with the love of 80’s movies. If you don’t believe it, check out the Sloth and Burt Reynolds mural on the side of the Burial’s taproom. This beer starts with the love of the John Cusack classic, Better Off Dead. “Johnny” the menacing paperboy in the movie is constantly yelling “I want my two dollars” for the papers.

In that same vein, the brewing duo have created a beer for the taproom that is just $2 dollars.

‘Two Dollars’ Pale Ale is brewed with coriander and lime, plus a touch of lupulin powder (basically concentrated hops) and a bold yeast. The beer is big on flavor, not on price.

Truly a sight to behold: a man beaten. The once great champ, now, a study in moppishness. Hard enough on his luck to run form a blood-thirsty barrel of killer paperboys. But smart enough to save $2 for this can of delightful pale ale, thriftily hashed together with lupulin powder, citrus peel, and tale from our childhood that is just a beloved by these Ohio boys.

Burial Beer Two Dollars Pale Ale will be available in 12 ounce cans and draft at the brewery on Thursday, April 20th.

Style: Pale Ale (w/ Coriander. LimeLupulin Powder.)
Availability: 12oz Cans, Draft
Debut: 4/20/17

5% ABV

Fun fact. A quasar is the small region around a supermassive black hole (found in the center of massive galaxies). The area emits a massive amount of electromagnetic energy, thanks to the mass from the core of the surrounding galaxy due gravitational influence of the black hole, getting pulled into the accretion disk. (The disk is thanks to the gravitational pull into the black hole.) Basically – massive energy release, and extremely fascinating astronomical phenomena. However, the pale ale requires less math.

Touch of citrus makes Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange Pale Ale

Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange Pale Ale bottle

Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange Pale Ale is now one of two new beers in the brewery’s portfolio in 2017.

The India pale ale has dominated the style category in sales for years. One of the fastest movers in the IPA family has been the fruited variety. The same goes for pale ales. Sierra Nevada has taken notice of this trend, and is ready to release their own fruited spins on some of their iconic beers.

Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange Pale Ale is stepping up to the plate – brewed with citrus-heavy hops and orange peel. A citrus-y take on the brewery’s iconic pale ale.

The name accurately describes what you are in for in this new release. The best description – imagine Pale Ale (what you should have had by now), with a more pronounced orange and citrus flavor. A fresh take on a classic.

Adding tangy orange to the classic style we pioneered didn’t come natural to us. Our brewers argued over the perfect blend of bold hops and orange peel to create the best flavor and crisp, citrus bite. The result is a hop-forward beer that can stand alongside Pale Ale as a craft beer classic.

Sierra Nevada Sidecar Orange Pale Ale is a 12 ounce bottle and draft release.

Style: Pale Ale (w/ Orange Peel.)
Availability: 12oz Bottle, Draft.
Debut: January, 2017

5.3% ABV
