Coming Up From Samuel Adams: Little White Rye

As of late, many of these new Samuel Adams offerings appear in mixed packs. Little White Ryeis on the horizon from the Boston based brewery.

Innocent yet beguiling, this hazy golden brew appears to be a classic wittier with its bright notes of orange citrus & coriander, but there’s a bit more mischief up its sleeve.  Behind its sweet exterior lies an intriguing blend of white sage and rye for an earthly, spicy, and thoroughly refreshing brew.

Style: Rye Beer (w/ Orange Peel, Coriander, Sage)
Availability: 12oz bottles
Arrival: TBA

5.3% ABV

Beer Street Journal VIDEO: Introducing Red Brick’s “The Lost Years”

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta, GA) blended their newest brew “The Lost Years” yesterday. In total, 70+  barrels have been aging since last summer. Some of the barrels: straight barrel aged old ale, while others are barrel aged old ale with orange peels and star anise. Blend them all together, you have The Lost Years, a beer sure to warm you up this winter.

Lost will be bottled before weeks end, hitting shelves before the end of the month. Beer Street Journal took some footage back in July, 2012 when The Lost Years was put in the barrels, and yesterday when it was pulled from the barrels. Initial flavor from the first barrel pull? Nice and boozy, with hints of orange and bourbon soaked oak.

Style: Old Ale (w/ Bitter & Sweet Orange Peel, Star Anise)
Availability: 12oz bottles, Draft
Arrival: Late Jan, 2013

9% ABV
