Clown Shoes Mango Arrives This Summer

Clown Shoes Mango, and American-style kolsch breed with sweet orange peel, and mango, releases this summer. The beer actually appears on the brewery’s release calendar starting in April, but it seems to have not released yet.

Crunkle Sam, tired of being a mere anomaly as a most refreshing summertime Barleywine, targeted a German beer style and bastardized it. He had us brew a traditional Kolsch, but made us add sweet orange peel and all natural mango flavor.

Clown Shoes Mango will be a summer offering in 22oz bottles.

Style: Kolsch (w/ Sweet Orange Peel, Mango)
Availability: 22oz bottles
Release: Summer, 2015

Stillwater Remix Project: Rio de Sauvin

Stillwater Ales (Baltimore, MD) is remixing a familiar offering from Against the Grain –  Rico Sauvin. ATG’s version is an IPA with Nelson Sauvin hops.

Stillwater is keeping with the tropical [Brazilian] theme by creating a tropical farmhouse ale, brewed with mango and passionfruit juice.

The boys at Against the Grain made a beer based on a fictional “sexy man” and uhh, his sheep friend.. So sticking with the theme and the fact that we have been spending some time in Brazil lately, we decided to amp up the sexy and host a tropical orgy of fruit flavors, hops, malt and yeast.. Umm Yeah.”

Stillwater Rio De Sauvin is estimated to ship in December, 2014.

Style: Farmhouse Ale (w/ Mango Juice, Passionfruit Juice)
Availability: 750ml Bottles
Arrival: December, 2014 (Estimated)

Founders Mango Magnifico copy

Last week, those close to Founders Brewing Company (Grand Rapids, MI) had the first shot at the newest Backstage Release – Mango Magnifico Con Calor. [Magnificent Mango with Heat] is brewed with both mango fruit and habanero peppers. Mango Magnifico con Calor [Magnificent Mango with Heat], will be the next beer introduced to Founders Brewing’s Backstage Series. This fruit beer is brewed with mango and habanero. This is the seventh addition to the series
